CY Market brings together a unique collective of hand-picked artisans who embrace creativity with purpose. The brainchild and founder together with amazing friends through the years established the CY market as more than an annual market – it’s a platform that was created because of a dream to do something that is not only beautiful but also worthwhile.

Since its inception in 2009, it has grown into one of the most anticipated events on Cape Town’s cultural calendar, providing small businesses with the opportunity to nurture their talents and ideas into realities. Every event is carefully planned in collaboration with a list of carefully curated exhibitors and presented according to the markets unique style and flair. CY Market believes in inspiring business owners to dream and create, pouring their inner beauty into creations that speak of style, passion, quality and the extraordinary. It prides itself on providing a service of guidance, hands-on mentoring and challenging exhibitors to push their creativity and believe in their dreams. Exhibitors don’t just hire a space, they go on a journey with us.

Visitors gets spoiled with over 150 exquisite decor and fashion displays, as well as mouth watering food truck cuisine, exquisite deli items, great coffee, fine wine, craft beer and delightful children’s entertainment. One with heart and soul – a collective of like-minded creators who are passionate about their craft.

Visitors from all over came to spoil themselves and stroll through the market enjoying the creativity and retro French ambience of the space.

Expanded in size and number of exhibitors displaying their handmade pieces at Alba Guest Farm.

Blessed with a new venue: Welbeloond Farm. This change enabled us to incorporate fresh ideas and make positive changes.

We were overwhelmed to say the least! It was a cherry-on-top year and we felt blessed and privileged to be part of this growing platform of creativity.

The year of growth, new ideas, fresh outlooks and inspiring changes.

We reached new heights, soaring in favour and grace. The market maximised its potential and we realised that change was around the corner. Grateful towards Welbeloond’s amazing family who hosted us for four years, we closed this chapter.

First event at the renowned Meerendal Wine Estate. A leap of faith that painted a blanket of beauty combined with good food and wine.

We move to the new gem of Durbanville: Stone Shed on Vrymansfontein farm. A family was gained with the promise to grow with the CY team in years to come.

It was the year to only improve as we continued taking hands with the wonderful Coetzee family.

What a year of helping hands! Sharing and regaining the WHY of our business. Working with amazing exhibitors, growing and continuously pushing to uphold the standard and quality of this calendar event.

Due to Covid we had to host smaller pop-ups under the name SPOIL.  A Big thanks to Stone Shed and Picardi Place for hosting the events and granting us the opportunity to still be creative in those challenging time.
